Hello and welcome to the SEGA Sonic,a Sonic the Hedgehog fansite.Before you start posting here are some rules I expect you to follow:

1. Account Registrations

a. You must be 13 or older to use SEGA Sonic.SEGA Sonic is based in the United States, and thanks to the law here, anyone under the age of 13 falls under the Child’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. If we find out you’re underage, we’ll suspend your account until you can prove otherwise.

b. You can’t have more than one account without approval from an administrator.

c. Don’t share your account with anyone else, not even if you use the same computer. Notify a staff member that you share a computer with another member before registering a second account on the same internet connection so that we don’t think you’re breaking the above rule.

d. You can’t register a new account if your old one was banned. As obvious as this should be, some people think they can get around their punishment by clicking “Register” again. This isn’t the case, and this “ban-dodging” will land you an IP ban from the entire site.

I hate having to activate people just because they don't want to use their real email <_<

2.Posting Etiquette

a. USE PROPER GRAMMAR. This is a message board, not an instant message with your cousin from Wyoming. This means you must use proper capitalization, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and whatever else you (hopefully) do when writing an English paper.

b. You must post in English unless the topic calls for you to do otherwise. An occasional, recognizable phrase in another language is ok.

c. Don’t intentionally attack someone else for their race, religion, or sexual orientation.

d. Don’t fill your posts with excessive exclamation points, question marks, other punctuation, or emoticons.

e. Don’t use excessive profanity. You’re allowed to say “fuck,” but it’s not an adjective and we’d prefer that you don’t use it as one all the time.

f. Don’t intentionally start flamewars or post just to piss people off. There’s enough drama on the internet as it is.

g. No spamming. This isn’t your grandmother’s email inbox. Don’t advertise other websites outside of the advertise forum and your signature. Don’t use the boards as a chatroom. Don’t post a reply that doesn’t contribute to the topic, don’t state the obvious...just don’t spam.

h. Don't be a vigilante of the rules. If you see someone else break the rules, use the Report function or tell a mod. Don't post about it and try to take the situation into your own hands.

j. Don't post in topics that are more than a month old unless you have a very good reason. This is called "bumping" because it moves the topic to the top of the topic list, and will typically earn you a warn.

3.Using Images

a. No pornography. No hentai. This applies to posts, signatures, avatars – everything. Nudity is permitted in art topics as long as it is presented in an artful manner and linked to by URL rather than implemented into the post itself with clear warnings by the link.

b. Do not steal anyone else’s artwork or claim it as your own. You can only use fan-made images if you have permission from the person who made them.

4.Profile Settings

a. You cannot use the same avatar as another member.

b. You can’t have a sound/video file embedded in your signature, even if it’s paused by default.

STAFF HAS THE FINAL SAY IN ALL MODERATIONS.
If you wish to dispute a staff moderation, PM an administrator and include all relevant posts or correspondence. You cannot make an appeal to an administrator’s moderation.
